Despite Dale’s untimely passing, The Foundation strives to preserve his memory and carry on his passion for ice hockey, ensuring that future generations can benefit from his commitment to the sport, “if not with him, then for him”.

The Dale Harrop Foundation was established on 18/01/2024 and has been granted Charity status in New Zealand (CC61905).

Our purpose is to support youth Ice Hockey players within New Zealand to reach their full potential in the sport. In particular, the Foundation will:

• provide young sporting individuals within the wider New Zealand community with financial support to participate in the sport of Ice Hockey by way of scholarships and funded Ice Hockey sports camps.

• to be beneficial to the community by providing opportunities to participate in the sport of Ice Hockey via mentorship and support by experienced players to further physical, mental and emotional health of the community.
